5x5 Clean Pulls + 5x5 Max Height Hurdle Hop (substituted with tall box jumps)
5x5 Each Side DB Jumping Lunges (30#) + 5x15 KB Swings (@70#)
5x4 BB Back Squat (@265#) + 5x15 lying hamstring curls (@30#)
Accessories
KB Windmill x 5 + 5
Vertical Ab raise x 10 + until ab dies
What looked like an innocent workout turned into a let’s-kill-the-legs day, which most of you know I am fine with. I’ll pick leg days over upper-body any day of the week.
The clean pulls were tackled at 235#, and by the third sets, my legs were feeling the burn. On the ground hamstring curls was fun, which I’ve never done it before. It took a while to set it up and quickly realized that you are almost coming to a pause when you lower the legs. If not, the dumbbell will hit the ground and that’s just not fun.
I had some time after the workout, so decided to blast my core with KB windmills (@55#) and vertical ab raises.
