45 mins cap

Today’s workout was:

  • Run at a consistent pace —> time cap 45 minutes.

A daunting task. Asking a weightlifter to run more than a mile is a big ask, let alone 45 minutes. However, this is what I signed up for and I am determined to work and improve my endurance.

The run wasn’t bad at all until I hit the fourth mile. It was more mental than anything else.

I’m not entirely sure where my performance stands. Never ran this much before and not sure if this is an “average” performance - or whether I should’ve aimed for 5 miles in 45 minutes. Maybe moving forward this can be the baseline of my endurance running moving forward.
